Wellington: City Hotels and Accommodation
Central Wellington is brimming with hotels, standing just 8 km / 5 miles to the north-west of Wellington International Airport (WLG). Hotels in the city of Wellington tend to be slightly more expensive than other nearby areas, although the standard is excellent - however, inner-city parking can be problematic. City Centre
The heart of Wellington lies nearby the city's waterfront, with a range of quality hotels within walking distance of Lambton Quay. Many of Wellington's most famous landmarks and cultural attractions reside in this district, along with an array of accommodation, including guest houses and budget hostels. Highlights in the city centre include the Town Hall, the City Art Gallery, the nightclubs around Courtenay Place and the spacious Civic Square.
Cuba Street
